Education Works Day Schools
EWInc. is a service for special education students in grades 1-12 who, for a variety of reasons, cannot benefit from the special education program provided by their district or charter school. Students are then referred to EWInc and enrolled by their district or charter school.
The steps are as follows:
- The district or charter school determines that the students’ needs cannot be met within a traditional special education classroom.
- The district or charter school conducts an IEP meeting and gives prior written notice to the parents outlining that the least restrictive environment for the student will be enrollment at Education Works School.
- EWInc. is then contacted by the district or charter school and EWInc. assists in the process of enrollment and admission.
There is no cost to the family. Tuition cost is provided by the district or charter school which receives additional support from the state through student count add-ons. Cost for individual therapy sessions or related services are set according to the service contract with the district or charter school.
Please contact Maja Rodriquez at (877) 225-2118. She will assist you through the process if your student would qualify for this school.
